I’m Iain. I love cars, and I take real satisfaction in bringing out the best in them.
Outside my software engineering career, I’ve spent years maintaining, improving and restoring cars. I enjoy the patient work that makes a visible difference to a car’s finish.
That includes bringing a tired carbon-fibre bonnet back to a deep, clear finish—work that takes patience, precision and a refusal to leave something half-done. That’s the care I bring to Iain’s Detailing here in Hove.

Where do I bring my car?
I’m based at home in Hove, BN3, a one-minute walk from Aldrington station—handy for dropping off your car and continuing your journey by train. The exact drop-off address is shared when we arrange your appointment.
What about weather and collection?
I work from my home forecourt under a top-only gazebo. Weather, drying and the work involved affect what’s practical. We’ll agree suitable timing and collection before booking; longer correction work needs an individual discussion.
Do you come to me?
This is a drop-off service. Bring your car to me at the agreed time, then collect it once the agreed work is complete.
How much will it cost? POA.
All work is priced on application. Message me with your car, a few photographs and what you’d like done. I’ll quote for its size, condition and the agreed work. You’ll know the price before booking.
Do you offer ceramic coatings?
No. My focus is personal car care and detailing. Long-term ceramic coatings call for careful surface preparation, precise application and the right curing conditions. I recommend a specialist coating installer for that work.
What kinds of cars do you look after?
